Recipe For Cherry Cordial Cookies

This recipe is super easy and tasty. It combines chocolate and maraschino cherries in a cookie and tastes like Cherry Cordials.

1 package of your favorite sugar cookie mix
About 1- 1 1/2 Cups of Maraschino cherries cut into quarters
3 Oz. of your favorite chocolate cut into chunks (or just buy the mini chips to save work/time)
1 egg
1 stick of unsalted butter softened

Preheat your oven to 325-350 degrees (depending on how hot your oven gets, if it runs hot use the lower temp and vise versa) Follow the directions on the sugar cookie mix, adding a bit of the maraschino liquid to the batter as well. You will then add in the chocolate and cherries and stir until mixed in. Scoop the batter into balls about a tablespoon in size. Place on cookie sheet about an inch apart. (if you have nonstick pans, use them. If not, use parchment paper or even foil on your cookie sheet to prevent sticking) Bake for about 5 minutes and turn the pan. Continue baking for about 4-5 more minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned around the edges. Take out of the oven and leave on the pan for a few minutes so that they can set up. Transfer to a wire rack or a plate and enjoy once they are cool enough to eat!!

Let me know what you all think!! :)
